SBL-SVC-00156 Errors While Uploading or Creating Report

(bcfile.cpp (1768)) SBL-UIF-00230: File not found aclist.rtf to a
specified file system.

1. Navigate to Administration-BI Publisher Reports->Reports Custom Templates
2. Provide Report name and decription and other mandatroy filed values
3. Click on New button in Integration Objects applet gives following error

Cause


This is caused because the installer of
the OUI base was used for installation of 8.1.1.0 and 8.1.1.8. In this
case, siebsrvr\TEMP\XMLP folder was not created



Solution


Create XMLP folder in the location <siebsrvr>\TEMP

Symptoms


When new Siebel Report Templates are uploaded, "Error creating local
file cache directory (SBL-SVC-00156)" error may occur on the following
conditions.





1) Target Siebel Server has been installed from "full install" image that contains OUI based Siebel 8.1.1.0.


2) Login to Siebel Application as the web client.


3) Navigate to "Administration - BI Publisher Reports" > "Reports - Custom Templates" or "Reports - Standard Templates"


4) Attempt to upload new template file.



Cause


This operation requires access to <Siebel Server
Home>\TEMP\XMLP folder. But OUI based Siebel 8.1.1.0 does not create
XMLP subfolder and the above operation fails.





Bug 14156386 - ERROR CREATING LOCAL FILE CACHE DIRECTORY WHILE CLICK ON NEW BUTTON has been filed to address the issue.



Solution


Please create XMLP folder manually under <Siebel Server Home>\TEMP folder.

The best thing while working on siebel is you are never short of options. Recently we had requirement of updating a Service request from contact. Finally we did that using "EAI Siebel Adapter" business service. However during that time i came across another business service "FINS Data Transfer Utilities" popularly known as DTU business service. Profile Attributes and Open UI

Yes, Profile Attributes! As the ever attentive, up-to-date Siebel CRM expert that you are when you read this, you know that in Siebel Open UI (since version 15), it is no longer allowed/supported to  set  Profile Attributes from browser-side script. But  getting  them is not a problem, since the  GetProfileAttr  function works perfectly fine.
