SBL-BPR-00537: Task controller encountered another error while trying to handle the following error. Please use the Pause button to pause the task, or the Cancel button to cancel the task.

Explanation

Task controller encountered another error while trying to handle an error in task execution. The current task needs to be paused or canceled.


Corrective Action

Please use the Pause button to pause the task, or the Cancel button to cancel the task.

Symptoms


Tested this Issue in 8.1.1 SIA with Sample DB





Steps to reproduce the issue





1. Created a Task Base UI with one Step which has Contact Form Applet


2. In this Applet there are two MVG's. One MVG is based on Account BC and another MVG is based on CUT Address.


3. Started the Task Base UI and Opened the Account MVG. Added the Record and removed the same record.


4. Closed the MVG and Click the Submit Button.


5. Following Error is encountered

Solution

For the benefit of the others readers:

CR#10576600 and the FR#12-1V0NEIB was created as a product defect for this issue.

Profile Attributes and Open UI

Yes, Profile Attributes! As the ever attentive, up-to-date Siebel CRM expert that you are when you read this, you know that in Siebel Open UI (since version 15), it is no longer allowed/supported to  set  Profile Attributes from browser-side script. But  getting  them is not a problem, since the  GetProfileAttr  function works perfectly fine. FINS Data Transfer Utilities

The best thing while working on siebel is you are never short of options. Recently we had requirement of updating a Service request from contact. Finally we did that using "EAI Siebel Adapter" business service. However during that time i came across another business service "FINS Data Transfer Utilities" popularly known as DTU business service. As i was not having prior knowledge of it going by the rule of not learning swimming lessons while drowning i decided not to go for it. Lately i have tried to explore this service and trust me it can do wonders. Here is a sample example update of Service Request from contact. We need to follow below steps in order to understand strength of this business service. 1 - Navigate to Site Map. Go to Administration - Application -> Data Map Administration tab.
